"Hey Karl, we've had the drum about a week now, and I have to say it has the most beautiful tonal quality I think I've ever heard. The wood is perfectly chosen and allows deep, resonant bass. The rim and the mid tones are equaly balanced and the action of the synthetic head is amazing. I'll be honest, we are both sort of in awe of this drum. The visual impact of the drum is similarly fantastic...the finish absolutely shines under lighting, highlighting the grain and color of the wood... and the glow-in-the-dark rope really sets it apart from any other drum in my collection! Thank You!"

"Just bought a Karzan Cajon and it's amazing! Fantastic value and better tone and (imho) construction quality than others costing much more. The dual chamber design gives many options for timbre and so fun to play! Had a jam session the other night and EVERYONE in the group was able to contribute, fighting for the Cajon. Keep up the good work!"
-- Ron (Colorado Springs, CO) 12x18 Cajon

"My son was excited to get the drum. The whole family liked it. He reminisced about playing drums in Jr. High. I think he'll get many hours of enjoyment. Thanks so much."

"These new cajons sound light years better than any of the crap you can get at the music stores. Crisp snare chambers and clean bass drum chambers. Very versatile percussion instrument. Karl only employs the most knowledgeable elves in his studio so you know they are made with love."
-- Rick (Denver, CO) 12x20 Cajon

"Thank you so much Karl -- the drum and snare box you custom made for us are both the most fun instruments we have now! The sound is unbelievable -- especially on the smaller drum -- very impressive -- as is your craftsmanship!"
-- Tracy (Denver, CO) 7x16 Ashiko & 12x18 Cajon

"My drum from Karzan is of black walnut fitted with bright yellow rope that show how contrasting tones can bring out the best in one another. The sounds are deep and rich. I feel like I become the music when we add the syncopation of a thumb thump with a finger roll to the primal percussion of Meg White on recordings of Seven Nation Army by White Stripes."
-- Sean (Spokane, WA) 10x22 Ashiko

"Dude! These things are the bomb! I took all three of my Karzan ashiko drums on a weekend camping trip to a big beach party. When I crashed for the night my friends spilled drinks on them, left my drums out in the rain, filled them with sand and gravel, and one of them even had a small hole burned in the head! Because of the synthetic heads, I was able to dump out the sand, shake them off a little bit and we had a kicken' morning drum jam around the campfire while they were still wet! It was awesome!"
-- Erik, Olympia WA 12x30, 10x24, 8x18 Ashikos

Note from KARZAN: While the synthetic heads are certainly durable and can take a good deal of abuse, we do not recommend or endorse using our drums in this way. Still... it's nice to know they took the beating you put them through! Thanks for the feedback Erik!
